Through the generosity of the National Science Foundation (NSF), McMurry University received funds to support students with financial need who wish to study in natural science disciplines. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 while majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics.

Qualified students may earn an NSF S-STEM merit scholarship covering their full tuition per academic year (renewable up to four years).

Support for this program is provided by the National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program under Award No. 2220835.

Application Process

  1. Determine eligibility. (see Who is Eligible? above)
  2. Students wishing to apply for this scholarship must submit a supplemental essay and letter of recommendation from a Science teacher by February 1, 2024 to be considered.  
  3. Students must be planning to major in at least one of the following fields: biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computational mathematics, computer science, mathematics, engineering physics, or physics.
