McMurry University has achieved the highest single-year fundraising total in its 102-year history, securing $22,760,012 in fiscal year 2025. This record-setting total eclipses the previous benchmark of $15.2 million in 2022 by more than 44%, reflecting a deep and growing confidence in the university’s direction and leadership.
The milestone comes at a time of significant institutional momentum, building off the energy of McMurry’s recent centennial and the arrival of Dr. Lynne Murray as McMurry’s 11th president. Since taking office in January 2025, Dr. Murray has infused McMurry with fresh energy, reinforcing a sense of optimism and direction that inspires confidence and support.

“This achievement reflects the strength and stability of McMurry University,” said McMurry University President Dr. Lynne Murray. “It affirms that our community believes in our vision to expand student opportunities and strengthen the university’s impact. It’s a clear sign that we are building something meaningful together.”
Funds are directed toward high-impact initiatives, including student support, academic excellence, faculty investment, and athletic facility enhancements. These investments address the needs of current students while positioning McMurry for long-term growth and readiness to meet future challenges.
“Our donors are investing in unprecedented ways, showing confidence in McMurry like never before,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Mike Hutchison. “Their support isn’t just about dollars—it’s a belief in our students, faculty, and the transformational opportunities that define the McMurry experience.”

With two of the university’s top three fundraising years occurring in the last three years, McMurry is experiencing more than momentum; it is rising with purpose.
“Lifted by the generosity and faith of our community, we are shaping a future that honors the dreams and potential of every student who calls McMurry home,” said Dr. Murray.
