Burkhead Served 25 years in full-time ministry within the United Methodist Church. He spent 10 years in banking/lending/underwriting. Most recently, Burkhead spent time as a hospice chaplain. He currently teaches 8th-grade Mathematics at Trinity Basin Preparatory/Bolt Campus in Fort Worth, TX. He is also a realtor with Texas Real Estate Executives based in Longview, TX. Burkhead has two sons and three grandsons.
