An Engineering Physics degree from McMurry prepares you for technical careers or graduate study in physics and engineering. You’ll complete a senior research project, gain hands-on research experience, and have opportunities to present your work at scientific conferences. Qualified students may also compete for endowed scholarships.
Interested in earning two degrees? Through McMurry’s partnership with the University of North Dakota, eligible students can complete a 5-year dual-degree program, earning a B.S. from McMurry and an ABET-accredited B.S. in engineering from UND.
What You Can Earn
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics
Engineering Physics is a hands-on discipline that bridges theoretical science and applied engineering to solve real-world challenges. You’ll develop a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and engineering principles, preparing you for graduate study or careers in mechanical, civil, electrical, industrial, and other engineering fields.
Dual Bachelor of Science Degrees
Through McMurry’s partnership with the University of North Dakota (UND), eligible students can earn two bachelor’s degrees in just five years—a B.S. in Engineering Physics from McMurry and an ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering from UND. This dual-degree program is available to qualified students pursuing a B.S. in Engineering Physics or a B.A. in Chemistry.
You’ll graduate with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering, along with hands-on experience gained through labs, research, and applied projects. McMurry graduates pursue careers as engineers, physicists, educators, healthcare professionals, and researchers, or continue their education in graduate and professional programs.
