Clint Cypert’s ’98 career in education began with a fervent passion for teaching and coaching, sparked by the influence of his high school teachers and coaches. Driven by a desire to make a similar impact on student’s lives, he pursued a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with teaching fields in History and Physical Education at McMurry University. His education at McMurry prepared him for the classroom and helped him hit the ground running as he began his career as a Social Studies teacher and coach at Caprock High School in Amarillo ISD from 1998 to 2001.

After his time at Caprock, Cypert continued his teaching and coaching career at Kress High School in Kress ISD and then at Midlothian High School in Midlothian ISD from 2001 until 2006. His passion for sports and mentoring student-athletes was a constant throughout these years, and he enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for education and athletics with his students.

In 2006, Cypert joined Frisco ISD as a Social Studies teacher, but it was during his time in Frisco that his career path began to shift. Encouraged by campus administrators who saw his leadership potential, Cypert pursued a Master’s in Education Administration. This decision marked a turning point in his career, leading him into educational administration. From 2008 to 2021, he served as Assistant Principal at Centennial and Heritage High Schools in Frisco ISD, where he further developed his leadership skills and gained a deeper understanding of the inner workings of school administration.

In 2021, Cypert took on the role of Director of Student Services for Frisco ISD, a position that allowed him to make a broader impact across the district. However, his journey didn’t stop there. In 2023, he became the Executive Director of Operations for Support Services in Allen ISD. Although he no longer works directly with students, Cypert finds fulfillment in supporting the district’s operations and ensuring that students and staff have the resources and support they need to succeed.

In his current role, Cypert oversees diverse departments, including Safe and Secure Schools, Health Services, Student Nutrition, and Transportation. He enjoys the challenge of working with these varied teams to create a culture of excellence and ensure that the district operates efficiently and effectively. For Cypert, the opportunity to make a positive impact on both students and staff, even from behind the scenes, continues to fuel his passion for education and leadership.

From his early days as a teacher and coach to his current role as an executive director, Cypert’s career has been defined by his commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. His path in education has been shaped by his dedication to lifelong learning, leadership, and creating opportunities for growth within the school community.
