The highly multidisciplinary nature of the teacher certification program at McMurry means you will have a diverse group of colleagues, instructors and classmates. Your program will focus on the foundations of instruction in secondary school in grades 7-12 and the core competencies needed to teach your subject. With passionate and expert faculty members guiding you through your studies, you will be fully prepared to apply for certification and succeed as an educator.

What You Can Earn

Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies Grades 7-12

You’ll complete at least 120 credit hours, not including developmental courses. At least 39 hours will be at an advanced level. This degree requires a minor in curriculum and instruction for teacher certification in grades 7-12.

Careers

Your certification process will allow you to teach your field in secondary schools across Texas. A Bachelor of Science in multidisciplinary studies I 7-12 will serve you well in other education roles including administration, curriculum development, educational consulting and more.
