We are pleased to announce that Rev. Ricky Harrison has been appointed as McMurry University’s new Dean of Students. Rev. Harrison will continue to serve as University Chaplain while assuming this expanded leadership role.
Rev. Harrison began serving McMurry University in 2023 as University Chaplain, where he has been a consistent and compassionate presence for students, faculty, and staff. His work has included pastoral care, campus worship, student mentoring, and collaboration with student life and academic partners. Rev. Harrison is widely respected for his commitment to student well-being, inclusive community building, and faith-informed leadership, all of which will continue to guide his work as Dean of Students.
We are also pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Russell Miller has been named Director of Religious Life and Assistant University Chaplain.
Rev. Miller joined McMurry in 2022 and has been actively involved in campus ministry and student engagement, supporting worship services, service opportunities, and religious life programming. In his new role, he will work closely with Rev. Harrison to support the campus’s spiritual life and expand opportunities for student involvement, leadership, and reflection.
