McMurry University Receives Grant from Texas Methodist Foundation

Need-based scholarships play a crucial role in enabling students to graduate with minimal to no debt, thereby positioning them for success after college. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the majority of McMurry students demonstrated financial need and showed remarkable perseverance in their educational journeys. More than half of McMurry students are first-generation college students, serving as pioneers who model determination and resilience for future generations.

Financial need-based scholarships directly support these students by reducing debt burdens—often to less than 60% of their first-year wages—and expanding long-term economic mobility.

In the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, McMurry University was named the #3 Best Value School among Regional Colleges West and ranked #5 among Top Performers for Social Mobility.
