Omicron Zeta is a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, an international nursing honor society. Membership is by invitation to students in baccalaureate or master-level nursing programs who are ranked in the top 35% of their class. Sigma is committed to sharing knowledge, resources, and tips with nurses around the globe. Throughout the year, members have access to free webinars on a variety of topics, like bullying and incivility, avoiding burnout, and more. Student members also have access to mentors in all specialties of nursing both locally, nationally and internationally. Nurses in practice are also invited to join as nurse leaders and are offered opportunities to build their leadership and research skills.
- Membership is open to both male and female students enrolled in a BSN or MSN program, completed at least ½ of the current curriculum and are ranked in the top 35% of their class.
