McMurry University has announced a record Spring 2026 enrollment of 3,948 students, continuing a strong multi-year growth trend. Enrollment has increased steadily from 1,244 students in Spring 2023, to 2,237 in Spring 2024, 2,877 in Spring 2025, and now to the university’s highest spring enrollment to date. The nearly 36 percent increase from Spring 2025 to Spring 2026 reflects McMurry’s continued momentum, expanding academic offerings, and growing demand for accessible, high-quality education.

“This remarkable growth speaks volumes about the confidence students and families place in McMurry University,” said Dr. Lynne Murray, president of McMurry University. “We are seeing the results of intentional investment in academic excellence, student support, and innovative pathways that meet students where they are.” |
| Vice President of Enrollment Management and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Grant Greenwood emphasized that the sustained upward trend is the result of coordinated campus-wide efforts. | ![]() |
“Our enrollment growth is not accidental,” Greenwood said. “It reflects strategic partnerships, expanded academic programs, and a commitment to serving both traditional and non-traditional students. Dual credit offerings, new athletic programs such as men’s and women’s wrestling, and new academic programs all demonstrate our campus commitment to excellence, innovation, and growth.”
University leaders credit the growth to strong recruitment initiatives, expanding dual credit partnerships across Texas, and continued investment in high-demand academic programs, including health sciences and nursing. McMurry University remains committed to building on this momentum as it looks ahead to future semesters, continuing to expand access, affordability, and academic excellence.
