McMurry University’s online programs offer a flexible and affordable way to earn your degree. Admission requirements depend on whether you are applying as a first-time freshman, transfer student, or returning McMurry student.
First-Time Students
Freshman Applicants
Choose this application path if you have not previously attended a college or university.
- Submit the free online application.
- Submit your official high school transcript.
- If you are under age 22, submit ACT or SAT scores when applicable.
Previous College Credit
Transfer Applicants
Transfer applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in previous college-level coursework.
- Submit the free online application.
- Submit official transcripts from every college or university previously attended.
- If you have completed fewer than 24 transferable credit hours, also submit your high school transcript and, if you are under age 22, ACT or SAT scores when applicable.
Returning to McMurry
Readmit Applicants
Choose this application path if you previously attended McMurry and are returning to complete your education.
- Submit the free online application.
- Submit official transcripts from any institutions attended after leaving McMurry.
- After confirmation from the Registrar’s Office, resolve any outstanding McMurry holds.
Online Student Eligibility
Students enrolled through McMurry’s online programs are not eligible to live in campus housing or participate in campus-based programs and extracurricular organizations, including intercollegiate athletics and social clubs.
Admission Appeals

Paying for College
Financial Aid and Payment Options
Online students may apply for financial aid whether they attend part-time or full-time. Complete the following steps to explore available aid and payment options.
Step 1
Complete the FAFSA
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and include McMurry University’s school code: 003591.
Step 2
Review Your Aid
Submit required documents and review your financial aid information through the NetPartner Portal.
Step 3
Explore Payment Plans
Use NelNet to review available payment-plan options and manage eligible payments.
