We offer several Study Abroad options to help you enrich your McMurry college experience. Study Abroad programs are open to students of ALL majors. All trips are upper-level electives and can be taken more than once. We have scholarships available to help make your travels possible.
Programs We Offer
Service
Service programs are generally between 8 and 12 days and are part of Global Brigades uniquely implemented holistic model to meet community’s health and economic goals. These programs can be student or faculty lead.
Discovery
Discovery programs are generally between 2 and 4 weeks and are taught by McMurry faculty members who travel with the students. These programs are faculty lead sightseeing adventures where we discuss the environment around us and question why things are what they are and what potential alternatives would be.
Cultural
Cultural programs offer a remarkable and exhilarating international experience that will allow students to immerse themselves in the local cultures of a variety of bucket list type destinations and experiences.
Student Scholar
Student Scholar programs offer students the opportunity for research purposes or to attend an international conference. The programs promote and encourage student participation in international research opportunities or participation in international conferences, meetings, and internships.

Italy | February 22 - March 4
McMurry University students are invited to study abroad at the Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) in Florence, Italy. Carnevale in Italy is a trip covering both Theatre and Art and Design. We will be immersed in the art of the Renaissance and experience the current religious, cultural, and social celebrations centered around Carnevale.
