McMurry’s MAcc degree provides an affordable, flexible pathway to support career advancement and credentials with knowledge to be prepared to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams.

Designed for students who have an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field, you gain advanced knowledge and skills in auditing, data analytics, taxation, financial reporting, and accounting research while preparing to become a CPA.

Our intentionally personalized program, with small classes, allows students to connect and work closely with the professors on a personal level. This tightknit environment fosters enduring relationships and a culture of collaboration.

What You'll Learn

Master of Accountancy, MAcc

The Master of Accountancy is a 30-credit hour program that can be completed as a full- or part-time student. It prepares you to be a successful accounting professional. The program will teach you advanced accounting theory, public and nonprofit accounting, auditing techniques, data analytics, and additional advanced finance skills. Coursework prepares you to sit for the CPA exams, which provides you with expert credentials in the financial business world.

  • Admittance
    • Fall semester rolling acceptance up to August 1
    • Spring semester rolling acceptance up to December 15
    • No GRE and GMAT required
    • 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) overall
    • 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) in accounting coursework
  • Undergraduate Major
    • All majors are welcome, but prerequisite course requirements include Financial Accounting, Accounting Systems, Intermediate Accounting I & II, and Auditing Theory and Practice. If these courses are not listed on your undergraduate transcript, they must be completed prior to your graduate coursework.
