The Aides to Teacher program is uniquely designed to provide working professionals in schools a flexible pathway towards a bachelor’s degree and teacher certification. Any teacher aide, para-professional, associate teacher, or school staff member can participate in the program to upskill and prepare for a rewarding career as a full-time teacher.

What You Can Earn
Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education
You’ll complete at least 120 credit hours, not including developmental courses. Students must complete at least 39 hours of advanced-level coursework. This degree also requires students to pursue a minor in Curriculum and Instruction to qualify for teacher certification in Early Childhood through Grade 6. Students may transfer coursework and apply it to their degree plan through the Aides to Teacher program.
Careers
Working with young children isn’t just rewarding, it’s also an excellent career choice. Aides to Teacher and early childhood education majors are prepared to move into roles in public and private preschools, elementary schools, Head Start programs, social service agencies and childcare centers.
