How to Apply

After Admission
  1. Submit your free online application.
  2. Submit official transcripts showing a complete academic history, including all courses taken and grades earned, from high school and any colleges attended. If your school is abroad, transcripts must be translated into English and include grading scales.
  3. Submit a credential evaluation from WES, Scholaro, International Education Evaluations (IEE), or Education Credential Evaluators (ECE) showing your US GPA equivalent.
  4. If your native language is not English, submit proof of:
    a. Duolingo English Test score of at least 105
    b. TOEFL score of at least 213 computer-based, 550 paper-based, or 79 Internet-based
    c. IELTS score of at least 6.5 or
    d. 24 transferable hours from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, including English 1310 and English 1320
  5. Copy of Passport
  6. Scores from the SAT/ACT exams are not required, unless used as the Proof of English Proficiency, but are highly encouraged.

After all items are received, application files will be processed. Admission decisions will be posted online within a student’s secure application portal. International students are encouraged to complete the admission process at least one month before the start of classes.

  2. Submit your non-refundable $50 application fee (waived for McMurry alumni)
  3. Submit official transcripts from any colleges attended. All transcripts must be translated into English.
  4. Submit a credential evaluation from WES, Scholaro, International Education Evaluations (IEE), or Education Credential Evaluators (ECE) showing your US GPA equivalent.
  5. If your native language is not English or the language of instruction in your undergraduate degree program was not English, submit proof of:
    a. Duolingo English Test score of at least 105
    b. TOEFL score of at least 213 computer-based, 550 paper-based, or 79 Internet-based
    c. IELTS score of at least 6.5
  6. Send a copy of your passport.
  7. Individual graduate programs may require additional materials or information.

After all items are received, application files will be processed. Admission decisions will be posted online within a student’s secure application portal. International students are encouraged to complete the admission process at least one month before the start of classes.

Next Steps

  1. After receiving your I-20 and paying the I-901 SEVIS fee, schedule an appointment with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate nearest you to apply for your F-1 Student Visa.

  2. Once your visa is approved, contact your Admission Counselor to coordinate your travel plans and arrival on campus.
