About the Alumni Association Board of Directors
Dedicated to advancing McMurry University, the Alumni Association Board of Directors supports the University’s strategic initiatives and fosters meaningful relationships between alums and the campus community. The Board also works to raise awareness of the McMurry Alumni Association while reflecting McMurry’s mission and core values.

Meetings Each Year
Serving on the Alumni Association Board
Board members are selected based on demonstrated involvement, support, and commitment to McMurry University and the Alumni Association.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Alumni Association with time, energy, and resources.
- Attend meetings, serve on at least one committee, and volunteer for special projects.
- Make an annual financial contribution to McMurry University.
- Participate in programs organized by the Office of Alumni Engagement.
- Help strengthen alum communities through local chapters and affinity groups.
- Serve as a proud ambassador for McMurry University.
Role of the Alumni Board
- Recognize outstanding alum commitment and leadership.
- Identify and cultivate future Alumni Board leaders.
- Support McMurry’s strategic goals.
- Promote engagement with alums, students, and friends.
- Guide and evaluate board initiatives, events, and programs.
- Explore new ways to serve and connect the alum community.
Board Committees
Committee work helps the Alumni Association Board strengthen alum engagement, recognize outstanding members of the McMurry community, and cultivate future Board leadership.
Engagement Committee
Guides programs and initiatives that strengthen relationships among alums, students, and the University while encouraging meaningful involvement in the McMurry community.
Membership Committee
Develops future Board leadership by identifying, recruiting, assessing, and orienting prospective members who demonstrate a strong commitment to McMurry University.
Recognition Committee
Identifies and honors alumni who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership, and service, and supports the Alumni Association’s annual recognition programs.
