What Sets Us Apart

The RN-BSN program provides licensed Diploma and Associate Degree prepared nurses an opportunity to further develop clinical reasoning and analytical skills. This program of study expands the initial nursing preparation with course work to enhance professional development, prepare for a broader scope of clinical practice, and provide a better understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence care delivery.

The RN-BSN degree from McMurry University is awarded at the successful completion of courses from the general education curriculum, as well as upper-division nursing courses. At PHSSN, individuals will be educationally prepared in a manner that promotes the development of intellectual, cultural, moral and religious values.  All general education requirements must be completed prior to enrollment in the nursing program.

The BSN degree is conferred by McMurry University, and graduates may then go on to graduate nursing programs to pursue the role of Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Educator.
