LEAD helps McMurry students grow as confident, purposeful leaders through experiences that support their transition to college, strengthen servant leadership, and develop the skills needed to lead in their communities and professions.
Through the First-Year Experience, Servant Leadership, and the Professional Leadership Program, students have opportunities to build meaningful connections, practice ethical decision-making, develop professional skills, and discover how they can make a positive impact.

The Professional Leadership Program (PLP) gives students across majors opportunities to develop communication, ethical judgment, critical thinking, teamwork, cultural competence, and the character needed for professional and civic leadership.

Etiquette Luncheon
Build confidence in professional dining, communication, networking, and workplace settings.
Professional Summit
Connect leadership development with professional preparation and engagement with working professionals.
Women’s Leadership Student Forum
Explore leadership experiences, perspectives, challenges, and opportunities through conversation and connection.
Participation in PLP is by nomination. Faculty and staff nominate students they identify as emerging leaders for participation in the Professional Leadership Program.
