What You Can Earn
Bachelor of Arts in Religion
You’ll complete at least 120 credit hours, not including developmental courses. At least 39 hours will be at an advanced level.
You’ll complete 18 credit hours, including six hours at an advanced level. (Not available for religion majors.)
The McMurry Religion and Philosophy Department has an excellent history of placing graduates in renowned seminaries and divinity schools, often with generous financial aid packages. Recent graduates have received full tuition scholarships to Emory University Candler School of Theology, Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology and Duke Divinity School, among many others. Other graduates have gone on to work in Christian ministry or pursue careers in law, politics, social work or nonprofit organizations.
