Practical subjects like pastoral care and counseling, preaching, and worship and liturgy are included, along with in-depth training in biblical studies and theology. Your degree will prepare you to enter any of the nation’s best seminaries and a wide range of service-oriented careers.
What You Can Earn
Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry
You’ll take a wide range of core and elective classes. You’ll also complete a minor in a separate discipline and at least two years of foreign-language study.
You’ll complete at least five introductory classes and an internship in Christian ministry. (Not available for Christian ministry majors.)
Bachelor of interdisciplinary studies With a Christian Ministry concentration
This program will see you gaining the skills you’ll need to serve as a minister in the United Methodist Church.
You’ll graduate with a personal philosophy of ministry, as well as the skills you need to implement that philosophy for spiritual development, discipleship, evangelism and every other aspect of the pastor’s role. Career options might include administrative pastor, small group leader, discipleship pastor, associate pastor, among others.
