EDGE helps students assess their interests and strengths, explore majors and career options, research industries, and begin developing informed academic and career plans.

First-time students complete the Strong Interest Inventory in their First-Year Seminar course. Transfer students may also meet with a career specialist to complete the inventory and explore possible academic and career directions.

Discovery Trips give McMurry students opportunities to explore career and graduate school possibilities by visiting organizations, learning about industries and career paths, and engaging directly with professionals.

Students may tour facilities, hear about professional experiences, ask questions, explore internship and employment opportunities, and build valuable networking connections.

EDGE helps students prepare for life after McMurry through graduate school exploration, employment resources, career fairs, networking opportunities, résumé and cover letter development, interview preparation, and job-search support.
