Career readiness opportunities include:

  • Strong Interest Inventory
  • Résumé and cover letter development
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Business etiquette
  • Interview preparation
  • Alumni Career Networking
  • Career, internship, graduate school, part-time, and teacher job fairs
  • Career-focused classroom presentations

Learn Through Experience

Experiential learning connects classroom knowledge with meaningful hands-on experiences that help students build practical skills, explore career possibilities, and develop professional confidence.

These opportunities allow students to apply what they are learning in real-world settings while gaining experience that can strengthen their preparation for employment or graduate study.

Discover Careers Beyond the Classroom

Discovery Trips give McMurry students opportunities to explore career and graduate school possibilities by visiting organizations, learning about industries and career paths, and engaging directly with professionals.

Students may tour facilities, hear about professional experiences, ask questions, explore internship and employment opportunities, and build valuable networking connections.

Prepare for What Comes Next

EDGE helps students prepare for life after McMurry through graduate school exploration, employment resources, career fairs, networking opportunities, résumé and cover letter development, interview preparation, and job-search support.
