What Sets Us Apart

At McMurry, you’ll be actively involved in the world of theatre through study, practice, performance and production. Unlike many larger schools, underclassmen regularly have opportunities to perform, while upperclassmen direct and design full-length productions. And because our department operates much like a nonprofit theatre arts company, you’ll be immersed in that professional atmosphere every day. Personal attention from seasoned theatre faculty equips you with a broad, solid grounding in this art form — creativity, craft and business. Small classes and learning by doing encourage you to discover your passions and hone your skills. Your studies will wrap in a capstone project in theatre.
